I’ve been requesting myself all of those questions because most days it feels like I’m chasing an unknown desire. However, I know that I’m designed to be on this journey which ultimately it’s the correct choice for me. For some reason, I feel compelled to create, to make and share quality recipes, and to definitely pour my center into my build.
Needless to say I’m sure you might have a passion as well – a thing that makes your pulse enthusiastically; but are you doing something about it? So most of us wait for moments of success to appear in front of us instead of seeking out and pursuing what we truly want. The important thing is to allow your passion movement openly and enable your dreams to reside wildly. Your intuition will guide you through your fear.
OKAY, the Tuesday Preach has ended. Time for me personally to talk about my exquisite enthusiasm for delicious salad making with you.
This salad is completely incredible and probably one of my new favorites. I’d actually put it right up now there with my Thai Quinoa Salad
The flavors are shiny, fresh, and flavorful. Not only is it incredibly healthy, but it’s also gluten free and vegan friendly.
The dressing? HOLY Like OF MY LIFE. To perish for! I wish to swim within a bowl of it. I could chug a glass for breakfast time, it’s that great.
Alright the last statement was extreme, but you get where I am going with it. It’s basically delightful.
Now you may be wondering what dark grain is and where you can find it.
I found organic black grain at Whole Foods, and that’s probably going to be your very best bet. Otherwise you could always order it online. If you cannot find black rice, quinoa or jasmine brownish rice will be a nice substitute.
This rice salad really has everything. Sweet mango, creamy avocado, the nutty crunch from your almonds, and the fresh taste through the dressing and cilantro. It’s perfect for potlucks, served alone, or will be great with grilled chicken or fish.
Ingredients For pig Feet
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 little ripe avocado, diced or sliced
1/4 cup roasted almonds
For the Vinaigrette:
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon honey (agave nectar if vegan)
1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 clove garlic clove, minced
lime wedges, to garnish
Rinse grain in mesh strainer. Add to medium saucepan. Add 2 3/4 cups water along with a pinch of sodium; bring to a boil. Cover, decrease to a low simmer, and cook until rice can be tender and drinking water is absorbed about 30-40 a few minutes. When rice is performed cooking, remove from temperature and transfer to some bowl. Cool for ten minutes before adding dressing.
While rice is cooking prepare the dressing: Combine lime juice, olive oil, garlic, honey (or agave), cilantro, and sodium in a food processor chip. Procedure for 15-30 seconds or until dressing is definitely combined. Once rice is done cooking food and it has cooled a bit, mix in dressing and Cover bowl and place in refrigerator for an hour or until awesome and you will be ready to add in the rest of the salad ingredients.
Before serving, toss salad again with dressing and fold in cilantro, mango, and red onion. Pour into chilly salad bowls and best with roasted almonds and avocado. Garnish with a lime wedge or extra cilantro if desired. Enjoy!
