In the event that you haven’t noticed, I am on a small amount of a cooking hiatus. It isn’t that I haven’t baking, because Instagram knows I have

It’s just that ever since I made a commitment to follow the #SummerSWEATseries exercises and some from the meal plans, I’ve made a conscious work about the amount of sugars and sweet treats I’ve been putting into my body. When I do indulge it is almost always a spoonful or two of vanilla almond butter or some dessert chia proteins bars that I am making (coming soon!). But lately brownies have been on my mind; you all know that generally I’m enthusiastic about cookies but I’ve been craving chocolates like no various other.
When I’m baking for myself (or the blog), I try to be mindful of the things that I’m using, making sure that most are all-natural and unrefined. I also have a tendency to like strange hippie dippie healthy things in my own sweets, like chickpeas and black beans, or sometimes even avocados. This time, I was set out on cooking a grain free of charge, paleo brownie with coconut flour.
I’ve been addicted to coconut flour recently (in the event that you couldn’t inform). Trader Joe’s gets the cheapest coconut flour I can find and the task of baking with it really is fun for me personally. Plus LOWER CARBS FTW.
A business that I am loving lately is Aloha , who also happen to be sponsors of the #summerSWEATseries. They maximize ridiculously delicious superfood chocolates bars , packed with antioxidants and True good-for-you nutrients.
They sent me a few samples of their delicious chocolate bars and I was immediately hooked, not only due to the flavor, but additionally because of the high-quality ingredients. Aloha chocolates consists of raw cacao beans sourced from Peru, are sweetened with coconut sugars only AND each club consists of superfoods like uncooked cacao, raspberries and blueberries. They are fair trade, organic, gluten free of charge and vegan. I absolutely knew they’d be wonderful cut up into chunks and thrown into my brownie batter.
Best of all, Aloha is offering 40% off purchases of $40 or even more! This offer is great one time only. All you have to do is definitely enter ‘SWEATSERIES’ at checkout. The present will be good through the end of July and it is for USA citizens only.
I try to balance my diet plan in as much ways as you possibly can so that is why after i baked a batch of the brownies, I ate 5 and called it supper. It wasn’t my intention but I COULD NOT STOP. This is also a PSA you’ve been warned concerning how addicting these brownies are.
I don’t care if they don’t possess butter or sugar or your regular flour; they taste like pure GOLD and I inhaled them without the regrets.
So let’s chat ingredients, shall we? I usually love having this small convo along with you because often times I’ll obtain asked about substitutions in cooking, particularly when it involves coconut flour. That small gem of a flour is a tricky SOB.
Coconut essential oil: I recommend using an unrefined coconut essential oil. It’s filled with healthy excess fat that keep your metabolism in full swing. HOWEVER if you’d like, you could sub butter. (Although then the brownies would not be dairy free. When you beloved this information in addition to you wish to be given guidance concerning sausage stuffed zucchini boats keto kindly check out the web-page. ) You do you.
Coconut flour: Like We said, coconut flour is tricky. I take advantage of Investor Joe’s and swear by it but there are many great brands on the market. It is critical to note that the brownie batter persistence should be over the leaner side, but not therefore thin that it pours like water. If this happens then you will have to stir inside a tablespoon or two extra of coconut flour. The explanation for the variations in flour can be that coconut flour brands seem to absorb liquid in different ways.
Nut butter: Yes, this makes a difference. Don’t consult me why, but each and every time I added a tablespoon of nut butter to the batter, the brownies arrived MUCH better. You can use any nut butter you select! (Note: Peanut butter is not paleo, but IT Is certainly delicious.)
Cocoa natural powder: Please don’t use Hershey’s cocoa powder. Seek if you can discover Ghirardelli or another version at the shop. Honestly a top quality unsweetened cocoa natural powder makes all the difference. You can even use cacao natural powder for more dietary benefits.
Eggs: Okay, I know that a few of you will enquire about using an egg replacer. And the poor news is that I haven’t tried to create these using a flax egg. I am speculating that it could work, but considering the amount of flax eggs you’d need to use, the batter might begin tasting like flax seed products instead of brownies. I’d not advocate it. Sorry!
Aloha Superfood CHOCOLATES Bar : Just delicious. FOR REALS. Experience free to use the whole bar if you’d like. This recipe only calls for half (about 1.1 oz).
I hope you like these coconut flour brownies! If you make them, I’d love for you yourself to snap an image and tag #ambitiouskitchen on Instagram so I can see your creation.
ALOHA GIVEAWAY!
Recipe type: Brownies, Paleo, Bars, Gluten Free, Grain Free, Dairy products Free
Prep time:
10 mins
Cook time:
15 mins
Total time:
25 mins
Ingredients
3 eggs, at area temperature (IMPORTANT)
1/2 cup genuine organic maple syrup (Grade B is most beneficial)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut butter of choice)
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (TJ’s or Ghirardelli is good)
1/4 cup coconut flour (I used Investor Joe’s)
1/2 of the Aloha Superfood Chocolates pub (about 1.1 oz), coarsely cut into chunks
Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 levels F. Grease an 8×8 inches skillet with coconut essential oil or aerosol with nonstick cooking food spray. Within the bowl of a power mixer (you can also use a food processor or get it done by hand), add coconut essential oil, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla and almond butter; combine on medium swiftness until well combined.
Note: IT REALLY IS SO important that you use room heat range eggs within this recipe. If you do not, the coconut oil may solidify as well as your wet batter can be chunky looking. Should this happen, it is possible to place all ingredients within a saucepan over medium-low warmth and whisk before coconut essential oil melts again; this may take about 5 minutes. Once coconut essential oil has melted once again and the blend looks smooth, remove from high temperature instantly and transfer back into the plate of the mixer.
Next add cocoa powder and coconut flour and turn mixer in low speed. Mix until substances are well mixed. Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle chocolate chunks at the top then smooth best with a rubber spatula. Bake 13-18 minutes or until blade comes out clean in the middle. They may look underdone but if indeed they knife happens clean, then they are carried out! Mine were perfect at 15 minutes. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Cool pan completely in wire rack before serving. Makes 12 portions. Brownies are also delicious when chilly; they obtain extra fudgy!
Please use a 8×8 inch pan for baking these. A 9×9 inches pan could be too small and your brownies can end up being very thin and delicate. Another option would be to bake them in two 8×4 inches loaf pans.
The batter ought to be over the thinner side, however, not so thin that it’s pure liquid (like water). If this happens, combine in another tablespoon or two of coconut flour.
If you’re a chocoholic, feel free to stir in full chocolates bar (about 2.2 oz total).
Please usually do not make an effort to sub other flours in place of the coconut flour. You will not achieve the same results as coconut flour is very particular in it’s required liquid to dry ingredient ratio.
You can use cacao powder rather than cocoa powder for more nutrition.

I am still looking for a protein powder that I really like and love to use as many ways as possible, instead of just tolerate it. but also for those that I have found so far that I love my favorite method to use it is within pancakes as a flour replacement-
1 scoop proteins, 1/4 c egg whites, 1/2 mashed banana, dash of cinnamon, 2 T almond milk, dash of vanilla extract and some other add ins/toppings so desired, like fruits, coconut, nuts, nut butter ect.
so worked up about this giveaway! I noticed Aloha awhile ago and have been really interested in trying it!! especially their chocolate pubs since I am a chocaholic along with a health meals nut.
These look delicious! I’m dependent on brownies and anything chocolates.
I like baking with protein powder but lately my favorite way to use it is to make protein sludge. Right after a workout I mix 1 scoop protein powder, drinking water and handful of maple syrup or organic honey together. I love to best it with peanuts and almonds and sometime use cocoa or cacao powder.
1 scoop proteins powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
~1/4 c almond milk
Combine and microwave for the best tasting mug cake that’s packed with protein.

For protein powder I honestly love to use it how. In smoothies! Chocolates vega blended with glaciers, cashew milk, handful of spinach, cocoa natural powder, peanut flour somtimes, iced banana and chocolate stevia drops. So delish after a workout!
My favorite method to use protein powder is directly, no chaser! I love a plant-based proteins shake (generally vanilla) with banana, coconut milk, almond butter & sea salt first thing in the morning!
Looking forward to trying this brownie recipe because I haven’t really enjoyed any baked goods made out of coconut flour yet. I’m still buying coconut flour recipe to like.
