If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a little bit of a cooking hiatus. It’s not that I haven’t cooking, because Instagram understands I have

It’s that ever since I made a committed action to follow the #SummerSWEATseries workouts and some of the diet plans, I’ve made a conscious effort about the amount of sugars and sweet treats I am putting into my own body. When I really do indulge it is almost always a spoonful or two of vanilla almond butter or some dessert chia protein bars that I am making (just around the corner!). But recently brownies have already been on my brain; you all understand that usually I’m enthusiastic about cookies but I’ve been craving chocolates like no other.
When I’m cooking for myself (or the blog), I try to be mindful of the things that I’m using, ensuring most are all-natural and unrefined. I also tend to like strange hippie dippie healthy things in my sweets, like chickpeas and dark beans, or occasionally even avocados. This time around, I had been lay out on cooking a grain free of charge, paleo brownie with coconut flour.
I’ve been addicted to coconut flour lately (in the event that you couldn’t inform). Investor Joe’s gets the cheapest coconut flour I could find and the challenge of cooking with it really is fun for me personally. Plus Decrease CARBS FTW.
A business that I am adoring lately is Aloha , who also happen to be sponsors from the #summerSWEATseries. They maximize ridiculously delicious superfood delicious chocolate bars , filled with antioxidants and True good-for-you nutrients.
They sent me several examples of their chocolates bars and I was immediately hooked, not only because of the flavor, but additionally due to the high-quality ingredients. Aloha delicious chocolate consists of uncooked cacao coffee beans sourced from Peru, are sweetened with coconut sugar just AND each club contains superfoods like raw cacao, raspberries and blueberries. They are fair trade, organic, gluten free of charge and vegan. I unquestionably knew they’d be wonderful cut up into chunks and thrown into my brownie batter.
Best of all, Aloha is offering 40% off purchases of $40 or even more! This offer is definitely good one time only. All you have to do is usually enter ‘SWEATSERIES’ at checkout. The present will be good through the finish of July and is for USA residents only.
I try to balance my diet in as many ways as possible so that is why once i baked a batch of these brownies, I ate 5 and called it dinner. It wasn’t my purpose but I COULD NOT End. This is also a PSA you’ve been warned as to how addicting these brownies are.
I don’t care if indeed they don’t have butter or glucose or your regular flour; they flavor like pure Silver and I inhaled them without the regrets.
So let’s talk ingredients, shall we? I usually love having this small convo along with you because often times I’ll obtain asked about substitutions in baking, particularly when it involves coconut flour. That little gem of the flour is a tricky SOB.
Coconut oil: I recommend using an unrefined coconut oil. It’s full of healthy excess fat that keep the metabolism completely swing. HOWEVER if you’d like, you could sub butter. (Although then the brownies would not be dairy free of charge.) You are doing you.
Coconut flour: Like We said, coconut flour is tricky. I take advantage of Investor Joe’s and swear by it but there are many great brands around. It’s important to note that the brownie batter uniformity should be in the thinner side, but not therefore thin it pours like drinking water. If this happens then you will have to stir in a tablespoon or two extra of coconut flour. The reason behind the distinctions in flour is definitely that coconut flour brands appear to absorb liquid in a different way.
Nut butter: Yes, this is important. Don’t question me why, but every time I added a tablespoon of nut butter towards the batter, the brownies came out MUCH better. You can use any nut butter you select! (Note: Peanut butter isn’t paleo, but IT Is definitely delicious.)
Cocoa powder: Do not make use of Hershey’s cocoa powder. Seek if you can discover Ghirardelli or another edition at the store. Honestly a high-quality unsweetened cocoa natural powder makes all of the difference. You can even use cacao powder for more dietary benefits.
Eggs: Okay, I understand that a few of you will enquire about using an egg replacer. And the poor news is the fact that I haven’t attempted to create these having a flax egg. I am speculating that it would work, but considering the quantity of flax eggs you’d have to use, the batter might start tasting like flax seed products rather than brownies. I’d not recommend it. Sorry!
Aloha Superfood CHOCOLATES Pub : Just great tasting. FOR REALS. Feel free to utilize the entire bar if you’d like. This recipe just calls for half (about 1.1 oz).
I hope you like these coconut flour brownies! In the event that you make them, I’d love for you yourself to snap a picture and tag #ambitiouskitchen on Instagram therefore i can see your creation.
Formula type: Brownies, Paleo, Pubs, Gluten Free of charge, Grain Free, Dairy products Free
Prep time:
10 mins
Cook period:
15 mins
Total period:
25 mins
3 eggs, at area temperature (IMPORTANT)
1/2 cup natural organic maple syrup (Quality B is most beneficial)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut butter of preference)
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (TJ’s or Ghirardelli is normally good)
1/4 cup coconut flour (I used Investor Joe’s)
1/2 of the Aloha Superfood Chocolate club (about 1.1 oz), coarsely chopped into chunks
Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 levels F. Grease an 8×8 in . skillet with coconut oil or spray with nonstick food preparation spray. In the bowl of an electric mixer (you can even use a meals processor or get it done by hand), add coconut essential oil, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla and almond butter; combine on medium rate until well mixed.
Note: IT REALLY IS SO important that you use room heat eggs in this recipe. If you do not, the coconut essential oil may solidify and your damp batter will become chunky looking. If this happens, it is possible to place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low temperature and whisk until the coconut essential oil melts again; this might take about 5 minutes. Once coconut oil has melted again and the mixture looks easy, remove from temperature immediately and transfer back into the plate of the mixer.
Next add cocoa powder and coconut flour and switch mixer on low speed. Mix until substances are well combined. Pour batter into ready skillet and sprinkle chocolates chunks at the top after that smooth top with a silicone spatula. Bake 13-18 mins or until blade comes out clean in the centre. They may appearance underdone but if they knife comes out clean, then they are completed! Mine were ideal at 15 minutes. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Cool skillet completely on wire rack before serving. Makes 12 servings. Brownies will also be delicious when frosty; they obtain extra fudgy!
Please work with a 8×8 inch pan for cooking these. A 9×9 inch pan could be too small as well as your brownies can be very thin and delicate. Another option would be to bake them in two 8×4 inch loaf pans.
The batter ought to be over the thinner side, but not so thin that it’s pure water (like water). If this happens, mix in another tablespoon or two of coconut flour.
If you’re a chocoholic, experience free to mix in full delicious chocolate bar (about 2.2 oz total).
Please do not try to sub other flours in place of the coconut flour. You will not attain the same results as coconut flour is quite specific in it’s necessary liquid to dried out ingredient ratio.
You can use cacao natural powder instead of cocoa powder to get more nutrition.

We am still trying to find a protein powder that I really like and love to use as much ways as possible, rather than just tolerate it. but for those that I’ve found so far that I like my favorite way to use it is within pancakes like a flour replacement-
1 scoop protein, 1/4 c egg whites, 1/2 mashed banana, dash of cinnamon, 2 T almond milk, dash of vanilla extract and every other add ins/toppings so desired, like fruits, coconut, nuts, nut butter ect.
so worked up about this giveaway! I observed Aloha awhile ago and have been really interested in trying it!! specifically their chocolate pubs since I am a chocaholic along with a health food nut.
These appear delicious! I’m dependent on brownies and anything chocolates.
I like cooking with protein natural powder but lately my favorite way to use it is to make protein sludge. Immediately after a good work out I combine 1 scoop proteins powder, drinking water and a tiny bit of maple syrup or raw honey together. I love to best it with peanuts and almonds and sometime use cocoa or cacao natural powder.
1 scoop protein powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp cooking powder
~1/4 c almond milk
Combine and microwave for the best tasting mug wedding cake that’s filled with protein.
These appear suuuper fudgy, I love it!
I love to blend my protein powder with yogurt and top with fruits and nuts as a post workout snack
and these brownies appear SPECTACULAR!!!
Okay these seriously look TO-DIE-FOR! You are the queen of healthful dessert pubs. And cookies. Gahh I’d love to be a flavor tester in your kitchen! I’m the sort of individual who needs a special dessert treat everynight and most of the time I try to keep it healthful as you possibly can. These pubs are perfect!!
For protein powder I honestly love to use it the simple way. In smoothies! Chocolates vega combined with snow, cashew milk, couple of spinach, cocoa powder, peanut flour somtimes, freezing banana and delicious chocolate stevia drops. Therefore delish following a workout!
My favorite way to use protein powder is directly, no chaser! I really like a plant-based protein shake (usually vanilla) with banana, coconut milk, almond butter & sea salt very first thing each day!
Getting excited about attempting this brownie recipe because I haven’t really treasured any baked goods made out of coconut flour yet. I’m still buying coconut flour recipe to like.
First of all may I just say that is my favorite blog page ever!!! Everything I have made from here is unquestionably delicious and brings a smile to my encounter! My favorite way to use protein powder is to throw it into granola bars to give them an extra filling kick!
