You can even have a look at my Trip Consultant profile to look at a number of the places I’ve stayed. I have to progress about researching the restaurants I’ve consumed at. That’s on my to do list next!
I REALLY LIKE margaritas. They are hands down the best drink and what better place to enjoy them then gorgeous, sunny Miami?! I had been in Miami for a vacation towards the BlogHer food conference wayyy back May. Our air travel was actually diverted to Fort Myers for a couple hours to credited a tornado AT THE MIAMI AIRPORT.
Every thing turned out to be fine, but we were kept on the runway for hours! I remember leaving Minneapolis around 10am and not arriving in Miami until 9pm. Hence, a margarita was required.
Next up! The FOOD. Miami is known for his or her amazing meals and I was not disappointed. I took complete advantage of savoring everything Hispanic inspired including big dishes of guac, plantain potato chips, and AMAZING RICE.
Surprisingly I worked out everyday within my trip. The downtown Hilton Miami got a nice workout center and we strolled nearly almost everywhere we went, as well!
This was just a little appetizer selection from a party with Stitch Fix ! We munched on mushroom bruschetta, wines, parmesan cheese, and amazing bacon covered fig. AGAIN, a lot food.
Right here was the view from my accommodation. It was very humid outside, but everything I cherished.
Meet my consuming partner in crime, Maegan ! We literally ate everything we could in Miami, ordering a bit at every bakery and restaurant we went.
One evening we made a decision to walk from downtown to South Beach to eat dinner at among Jose Andres’ restaurants. I believe it was approximately three miles along with a little bit frightening, but we required the exercise! I mean just take a look at what we were eating…
Sticky buns. Coconut Cake Shakes. Cookies.
I think my favorite was probably the coconut cake shake. It had been certainly delicious and I cherished the raspberry that came with it.
Then there have been these AMAZING cookies that Meagan simply had to get and of course, I had formed to take a handful of bites.
The main one with coconut, pecans and chocolates was absolutely fabulous. But I actually had to stop after two bites. I just couldn’t eat any more.
Following a few fun days in Miami, I jetsetted over to NEW YORK for a short weekend with Tony.
Better still than all the food in the world.
I love having the ability to see him pitch. It actually keeps me thinking about baseball. He in fact got moved up to new team this week, that is extremely exciting! I’m so proud of him.
Of course following a short visit to see him, it’s back on another airline flight within the wee hours of Monday morning so I could possibly get back to my regular work.
I wasn’t back in Minneapolis for an excessive amount of longer before I had developed another trip planned back again. This one was a genuine vacation!
Tony and I planned a vacation to Myrtle Seaside, SC. I had hardly ever been to South Carolina, but I had been SO excited to lay around the beach and relax.
Ps. if you’re ever on the Minneapolis airport, consume at French Meadow! Their organic breakfasts are perfect.
Tony picked me up through the Charlotte airport terminal and we drove roughly 3 hours to Myrtle Seaside. We stayed at a hotel near Broadway, a place where all the nightlife was. It was a good 20 minute walk to the seaside, but I really like walking therefore i didn’t mind.
Once we arrived, it had been glorious. The beach was beautiful with even, warm sand and a salty ocean air flow.
Precisely what I needed.
We spent the majority of our times enjoying cocktails and swimming. Myrtle Beach actually doesn’t have that great of food, therefore i wasn’t that impressed with the restaurants. We just were happy to have the ability to forget about football and work for a bit. Sometimes you merely need a little travel to reflect, you know?
At night, we went with one of Tony’s teammates who also happened to be in Myrtle Beach with his girlfriend. Each night we remained out past due and danced the night time away.
If you’re in Myrtle Beach, you may want to browse the ferris wheel overlooking the sea. I didn’t get a chance to accomplish it, but believe it would have already been fun!
I wish I had been back that ideal weather at this time.
After our trip to Myrtle, we drove back to North Carolina where I proceeded to BAKE ALL THE COOKIES. Because that’s just what I do.
I also surely got to see Tony pitch around the 4th of July.
And watched him eat way too much food.
We planned a time night in because we were fed up with spending money and because we like cooking jointly; it’s fun to flavor test, drink wine and disagree on what things ought to be made.
I really wished to make The Pioneer Woman’s Baked Ziti , but with a wholesome makeover. I literally think it’s one of the better italian meals I’ve available myself and highly recommend it.
Here is it going into the oven. I have no idea why my muscles look therefore jacked, but I’ll consider it.
The finished dish was amazing. We combined it having a side salad and garlic bread. I felt good about operating 5 miles that day.
Cause the very next day I ate two of the cookies AND THEY WERE GLORIOUS.
Then I got back on another aircraft to Minneapolis.
I hope you enjoyed a few of my travel escapades. Be sure to follow me on Instagram for more travel fun. xo!
