Hell yes. The goodness that is sloppy messy meats in a slightly sweet (and spicy!) tomato sauce. I swear I could eat it every day for the rest of my entire life. Also, will someone please invent a sloppy joe meals truck? Consider of all possibilities…

These specific turkey sloppy joes are produced from scratch. None of this Manwich business up in my own joes, just basic ingredients here. My favorite sloppy joe sauce is made from tomato sauce, several tablespoons of ketchup for sweetness, spices, soy sauce and yellow mustard. I really like it because it isn’t overly sweet like the majority of sloppy joes, nonetheless it still tastes like this sauce you keep in mind from your child years. And on top of cornbread waffles? Oh yes, you really must.

1 white onion, diced
1 reddish colored pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoons ketchup
For the cornbread waffles
1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour or white whole wheat flour
1/2 cup yellowish cornmeal
2 teaspoons cooking powder
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
Place essential olive oil in a dutch oven or a large container and place over moderate heat. Add in olive oil, turkey, onion, peppers and garlic. Stir frequently; splitting up the turkey meat as you move. Make until turkey is no longer pink and onions are relatively translucent.
Next, add in chili powder, cumin, onion powder and cayenne; mix for 30 secs to allow spices to cook a bit. After that stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, soy sauce. Cover and simmer over low temperature for 20 moments.
While the sloppy joes are simmering you can preheat your waffle iron.
In a little bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking natural powder and sodium. In a separate medium bowl, combine collectively egg, maple syrup, olive oil, applesauce and almond dairy until well combined. Add dry ingredients to wet substances and mix until just combined.
Apply waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. Add about 1/2 of batter to waffle iron and cook based on manufacturer’s directions. Once waffle is cooked, place in 200 degree F oven to keep warm or you can just toast them up afterwards if they obtain cold!). Repeat with remaining batter. Makes 2 large Belgian waffles.
To serve, place two waffles on dish and best with 1/4th of the sloppy joe meat. Garnish with parmesan cheese, if desired. Serves 4.
